3 Day Southern Ocean Wildlife Adventure Tour Itinerary - 3 days

  • Day 1 Adelaide to Port Lincoln
An early start indeed but to fit all these amazing wildlife experiences in its required! See the sights of Port Pirie, Port Augusta, and Cowell then head west to Port Lincoln, the seafood capitol of Australia and home of the epic adrenalin experience of shark cage diving!

After arriving in Port Lincoln around 1pm and checking into our accommodation at the Port Lincoln YHA we’ll head to Mikkira Station for a wander around the grounds in search of koalas and native Port Lincoln parrots. We’ll then head to Whalers Way for some stunning views of the coastline and back to town.
  • Day 2 Port Lincoln – Shark Cage Dive or Whalers Way
Depending on your love affair with fear, today you’ll either be diving into the world of Great White Sharks or taking a more relaxing option checking out some land based wildlife. If you choose to stay on land in the morning you’ll take a walk up Stamford Hill in Lincoln National Park followed by some lunch. Then we head to Glen Forest Wildlife Park to hand-feed a few critters.

Choose shark diving and you’ll be boating out to sea, changing into dive gear and invited to hop in a cage for a meet-up with some real monsters of the deep. These are some critters we don’t suggest hand-feeding.
  • Day 3 Port Lincoln to Adelaide
Another once in a lifetime wildlife experience today cruising out to Hopkins Island and taking part in one of Australia’s many unique wildlife experiences, swimming with sea lions. This half-day adventure takes us to a friendly community of sea lions where you can swim, snorkel, paddle and splash about in the company of these inquisitive animals. These puppy dogs of the sea love splashing, jumping, twisting, and twirling all around you and if you’re lucky you might even get a kiss!

Those preferring to stay on dry land can spend the day in Port Lincoln, perhaps strolling the foreshore or enjoying some fresh local seafood. In the afternoon, return to Adelaide around 8.30pm where your wildlife adventure wraps up. There is no accommodation tonight so remember to book it before you leave.
