White Water Rafting
Leaving Cairns early in the morning, drive two hours south to the township of Tully, a region famous for its banana growing and cyclone Yasi which passed through in 2011 with 290 km/hour winds. A fantastic day with 5 hours of whitewater rafting and 44 rapids on the mighty Tully River, regarded as the best rafting river down under. (L)
Balloon Flight and Kuranda Village
A 30min hot-air balloon flight over the Atherton Tablelands, followed by a cross-country balloon chase. Return to Cairns at lunch or be dropped off and enjoy the village of Kuranda with its colourful markets. Those visiting Kuranda will return at leisure (at own expense).
Great Barrier Reef trip
Snorkel the Great Barrier Reef, visiting a minimum of two unique reef locations. Green turtles, manta rays, clown fish, and corals may all be seen. On board the boat a full briefing on how to snorkel is given, and there is a free snorkelling tour provided. Introductory and certified scuba dives (optional extra) are available with an amazing range of exclusive reefs (L)
Depart Cairns for the 45 minute ferry to Fitzroy Island. A half day guided sea kayak tour with snorkeling gear over the fringing reef, followed by an afternoon of leisure before your return to Cairns (or stay overnight for a 5 day option).\
