The high season in the Top End of the Northern Territory is between May and November each year. These are the cooler, drier months. this is when Jim Jim and Twin falls in Kakadu National Park are open to visit. Our tours get fully booked fast around July and August when the humidity is at its lowest and Kakadu is most accessible.
During the Wet Season (December- March), as a 4WD touring specialist, we can confidently take passengers into Kakadu National Park as it is open all year round. We have various waterfalls and cultural sites to visit in Kakadu National Park and also permanent tented camping and fans for those hotter nights. There is always something to see at every time of year in the top end.

Darwin is a great little city in the Top End boasting an Asian influence. The Mindil Beach Markets are open throughout the dry season on Thursdays and Sundays. Plan your visit around a trip to the market to sample some cuisine from Australia and Asia and buy some locally made arts and crafts.
Darwin has a historical element with the tunnels from World War II, so if its not too humid take a walk around and explore. The waterfront area is also now home to a wave pool which can be a welcome relief from the heat.
